Bio

Born in Washington DC, Andy now makes his home in New York City. He holds a BFA in Theatre Arts from Rutgers University where he studied acting with William Esper. He has performed in Europe at The English Theatre in Vienna and toured the United States with The Acting Company. In the film “Up Close and Personal” he had a one on one scene with screen legend Robert Redford. In New York he performed with Christopher Plummer at Lincoln Center in Shakespeare’s “King Lear”. His professional debut came when he was 12 years old at Arena Stage in Brecht’s “Caucasian Chalk Circle”. His father Robert Prosky was a member of the resident acting company of Arena Stage for 25 years before starting a highly successful Film and Television career that included “Hill Street Blues” and many feature films such as “The Natural” and “Mrs. Doubtfire”. His father and he performed in Arthur Miller’s “The Price” with Andy’s brother John Prosky at the historic Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia. Andy is an avid guitar and bass player and enjoys spending his summers in Cape May Point, NJ.
